1. What AudioStories is

AudioStories is a mobile app that offers short illustrated stories for children, with recorded narration and a short comprehension quiz after each story. Content is prepared and reviewed before publication; nothing is generated while a story is being read.

The catalog is available in English and Turkish. We add, update and occasionally retire stories over time.

2. Who may use the service

The app is intended for children, but the account holder must be a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over. By creating an account you confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the child who will use the app, and that you consent to their use of it.

Children should use the app under adult supervision. A parental gate protects purchases and sensitive settings.

3. Accounts

You can browse part of the app without signing in. An account is required to keep progress, badges and subscriptions across devices. You may sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook.

You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure. A limited number of simultaneous sessions is allowed per account; older sessions may be ended automatically.

4. Free content and subscriptions

A small number of stories is available at no cost, including their quizzes. Access to the full catalog, offline downloads, own-voice narration and an ad-free experience requires an active Premium subscription.

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us. The price displayed in the app at the time of purchase is authoritative and may vary by country, currency and applicable taxes.

• Monthly and yearly plans are offered; the yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Cancel at any time from your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current paid period remains active until it expires.
• If a free trial is not cancelled before it ends, it converts into a paid subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly.

5. Advertising

Free accounts may see occasional full-screen ads between screens. Ad requests are tagged as child-directed and limited to general-audience content ratings. Subscribers see no ads.

Where required by law, you will be asked for consent before any personalised advertising or measurement takes place, and you can change that choice later from the app settings.

6. Content and licence

All stories, illustrations, narration, characters, the AudioStories name and logo are owned by us or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them inside the app for private, non-commercial family use.

• Do not copy, record, re-upload, redistribute or publicly perform the content.
• Do not attempt to download, scrape or extract audio, images or text outside the app.
• Do not reverse engineer the app or interfere with its security or licensing checks.
• Do not use the service in any way that is unlawful or harmful to others.

7. Recordings you make

The app lets you record yourself narrating a story. Those recordings are stored on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. You are responsible for what you record, and you can delete recordings from within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes them.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features, stories and prices may change, and we may suspend or end parts of the service. If a change materially reduces what an active subscription provides, we will inform you in advance where reasonably possible.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access to an account that breaches these terms, abuses the service, or attempts to circumvent payment or licensing controls.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. AudioStories is entertainment and light reading practice; it is not an educational assessment, a therapeutic tool, or a substitute for adult care and supervision.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
